Our Covid-19 Statement

Safety is our Priority

At the Bell, we are working hard to keep our team and our customers safe. We have implemented even higher standards of hygiene in order to create a safe environment to work, drink and dine in.

We have deep cleaned our pub prior to reopening and have introduced more frequent cleaning schedules with sanitisers that are certified Covid killers. Every table is thoroughly cleaned at the end of each guest visit and you will see our team wearing visors or masks and using gloves in order to protect you and themselves. We have introduced a one way system and request that guests from one table at a time use the toilets. We encourage contactless payment to avoid handling cash and the limit has now increased to £45. We’ve also started table service in the garden and courtyard areas.

We have also introduced measures in order to meet government guidelines on social distancing and we ask all our guests to be respectful of this policy. The following are a few points we ask guests to be aware of when booking with us:

 

  • PLEASE DO NOT VISIT US IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE COVID-19 SYMPTOMS INCLUDING A CONTINUOUS COUGH, HIGH TEMPERATURE OR SHORTNESS OF BREATH
  • We will take a name and phone number for each table and contact you if there is a covid-19 incident at our pub
  • Maximum number of guests per booking is 6 in order to adhere to government guidelines
  • We have changed the layout of our tables to improve safe distancing measures
  • Guests are respectfully reminded that drinking at the bar is prohibited in order to keep our team and guests safe
